Welcome to our AFIA weekly blog. I hope that everyone is having a great summer break! With school being right around the corner I wanted to send out some updates and reminders.



High school (9-12) registration will be August 7-9. Students will be able to sign up with for their courses and discuss their graduation plans. Times for the registration are below:

August 7: 9am-2:30pm
August 8: 1pm-6:30pm
August 9: 9am-2:30pm


The date of the back to school luncheon will be August 18th. Grades K-5 will be from 11-12:30pm and grades 6-12 will be from 1-2:30pm. Please join us for some pizza and fun! If you plan on attending, please RSVP by August 11th with Mrs. Grace Casarez. She can be reached by e-mail (GCasarez@braination.net) or phone (210-638-5900). We encourage all attending to bring a side dish or dessert to share.


The dates for the student and parent orientations/meet the facilitators are below:

  • Kinder Orientation: August 21st @ 10am in the elementary school
  • Elementary School Orientation: August 21st 6pm-8pm in the elementary
  • Middle School Orientation: August 22nd 6pm-8pm in the middle school
  • High School Orientation: August 23rd 6pm-8pm in the high school

This year it will be mandatory that all students purchase our blue school polo to attend field trips or events off campus. Students will not be able to attend field trips if they do not have an AFIA blue polo. Middle school students and high school students enrolled in PE will be required to purchase our PE uniform. This year you will have the option of purchasing a white presentation polo. A blue or white AFIA polo will be mandatory for all student presentations. Polos and PE uniforms can be purchased at the following website: Dennis Uniform. Our school code is VAN.

The first day of school is August 27th.
