Parking Lot Safety: As you know, school parking lots (especially ours) can be incredibly busy places. Ensuring student and parent safety is important to us and our responsibility, but it also requires driver responsibilities as well. Please remember to always be aware of our students, parents, and staff crossing the parking lot. To avoid delays and congestion, please pull as far forward as possible. Remember that school zones are hands-free zones. Cell-phones and devices can distract you from seeing others trying to get to their cars or create congestion from not knowing to pull forward. Lastly, please monitor your speed. We appreciate your support!

PFO Meeting: Just a reminder that we have a PFO meeting on Monday November 5 at 6pm in the middle school plaza. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Please remember that our Seagull Mascot contest ends November 16th. If you need more details about this contest, please reach out to me.

Lastly, I want to announce that Mrs. Salinas has resigned from her Special Education facilitator position. We all want to thank Mrs. Salinas for all of her support and dedication to our students. The relationships that she built with our students, each of you, and our staff will be difficult to replace, but we are excited to announce that Mrs. Gerry has been promoted to the SPED facilitator position at AFIA. Mrs. Gerry has been working with our students and has been a valuable member of our staff since day 1. We look forward to her taking over the position and continuing to build positive relationships with our students and each of you.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
